Every Person on the waiting list will be contacted via email when pregnancy is confirmed between 2/23 - 2/28 and notified when puppy count is performed by x-ray on day 56 and notified when puppies are born. NO deposit is required to be put on the waiting list. Deposits are only required after Puppies are born and to hold puppy of your choice.
Our overall purpose here at Sierra Nevada Labradors is to improve the breed by producing intelligent, well-tempered, quality puppies. For us this is not a profession, we do this because we absolutely love the breed and it brings joy to our lives to create such high quality companions. Please understand that placing our puppies in the best home possible is very important to us, and we do our best to ensure the best life possible for them. Our Labradors are bred to give you the best possible Labrador pup that money can buy. If you want a hunting companion, search and rescue dog, or a pup that can be your special friend and companion, Our puppies will be just right for you.
Our puppies are bred to provide you with a pup free of genetic defects, pleasing in appearance, and intelligent with a good attitude for learning. To the best of our knowledge, our breeding stock is free of common hereditary defects such as hip and elbow dysplasia (OFA & OFEL), Cardiac Diseases, progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), and Retinal Dysplasia (CERF). Most of our puppies are current hunters and we have about 3 puppies that are search and rescue and a few are big couch potatoes.
?When choosing a breeder the first thing to understand is that there are many breeders that do this as their main source of income, they breed just to survive. Here at Sierra Nevada Labradors we do not breed as our main source of income, it is our hobby and passion. There are also many backyard breeders that sell their puppies at a very cheap price and act as a "puppy mill," we do not. Our girls and gents are treated with a great amount of respect and care, therefore we do not over breed, nor overcharge. There is much more to life for them than just producing puppies, they are our family. We are always happy to help answer any questions you may have.
